Today we have something a little different for you. Last week LeeAnn was traveling and didn’t have time to record with me, so I dug into our archives and dusted off an interview I did with Jennie Marie Studio that I recorded about a year ago. Jennie’s made a name for herself hand painting glass candle votives. Most of them feature Star Wars scenes, but she’s also been known to do Marvel, DC, and lord of the rings. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen my unboxing video of the custom commission she painted for me depicting the dark and brutal relationship between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul. It’s truly a masterpiece. Follow Jennie’s instagram @jenniemariestudio

In this interview, we discuss everything from Jennie’s formal art training in Florence, to how the American school system didn’t work for our creative brains, to how her teenage love for Luke Skywalker eventually led to her current business venture painting custom votives. We had a fabulous time recording this and ended up chatting for almost 3 hours. This is a shortened version, but if you’d like to listen to the full conversation, please consider joining our Patreon where we post complete interviews, episode extras, and so much more.
